Baxter Scuba Trips
Open Waters and Diving
Ed and Peggy will be spending a lot more time in Cozumel this winter. It's
a tough job, but someone has to do it! They plan to be there from mid-November
to the end of March or so. The warm, clear
and gentle waters off Cozumel are ideal for open water evaluations - warm
sun, gentle drift diving, beautiful fish and coral. This, combined with a
vacation atmosphere and being surrounded by nice people who are diving
and having fun, make your "open waters" a memorable experience. We
maintain relationships with two Cozumel operators, Albatros Fishing and
Diving Charters and Eco Divers.
So take your Academics and Confined Water training up north and come on down to Cozumel to do your Open Waters with us!
Just get a Referral from your instructor and contact us. You can e-mail us at either epbaxter@juno.com or epbaxter@hotmail.com.
You can also contact Rita and Burak at Albatros Fishing and Diving (1-888-333-4643 or
www.cozumelscuba.com) or Jorge with EcoDivers (ecodivers@prodigy.net.mx).
Should you wish to perform your Open Water by Referral elsewhere, we'll help you locate an instructor or dive shop.
We've got many contacts throughout the Caribbean.
Local Diving Trips
"Locally" we go to Homestead Crater in Utah. The warmth of
this 96 degree hot spring in the middle of the Wasatch Mountains is
something to be experienced!
There's plenty of good local diving if you're
OK with fresh cooler water and are trained in High Altitude Diving. We
occassionaly dive in Blue Mesa, Lake Powell, and Grand
Mesa. We can perform Specialty training and
Advanced certifications locally. We have the names of divers who are interested in local diving. Contact us and we'll put you in touch.
